Fees & Policies

RATES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE.

Rates are per Room, per Day for Single or Double occupancy.

Additional Fees of $45 per person apply for ages 13 years and older sharing a room for Triple and Quad occupancy in Main Lodge Rooms and Cabins. Children 12 years and younger have no extra additional fee. Additional charges in Guest Homes apply based on maximum occupancy.

A minimum of two nights is required if your stay includes a Saturday.
A minimum of three nights is required if your stay falls over President’s Day Weekend or the week including Christmas and New Year’s Eve.

A 15% Resort Fee and 9% Vermont State Sales Tax will be added to your bill and charged at the time of arrival. The Resort Fee, among other uses, provides you and your guest(s) access to our Stay Inclusive Amenities on the property. 

Check-In Time begins at 3:00 PM for the Main Lodge.
Check-In Time begins at 4:00 PM for the Cabins and Guest Homes.
Check-Out for all rooms and homes is at 11:00 AM.

Maximum occupancy applies at all times and will be strictly enforced. Violations of maximum occupancy may result in the termination of your stay. Large gatherings are prohibited in our Guest Homes unless organized and facilitated by Mountain Top Resort.

DEPOSITS

To confirm and secure a reservation, Mountain Top Resort requires a deposit equivalent to 50% of the total stay for two nights or longer, non-package reservations. One-night stays and package reservations will be charged 100% of the deposit. 

CANCELLATIONS

Because of your small size, cancellations affect us significantly. A last-minute cancellation often gives us little chance of re-booking due to our remote location. Because of this, Mountain Top Resort has a 30-Day Cancellation Policy. Any cancellations or changes that occur within 30 days of arrival will be subject to forfeiture of the deposit. All refunds outside of 30 days are subject to a Cancellation Fee equal to 10% of the total stay. Should be be necessary for you to depart earlier than your confirmed departure date, you will be responsible for your entire stay as originally booked. If you have any questions about our policy, please inquire before booking. 

SMOKING POLICY & FEES

Mountain Top Resort is a non-smoking property. This includes smoking of any kind. Guest Homes, Cabins, Guest Rooms, and Activities Areas are also non-smoking areas. If smoking does occur during your stay, a $250 cleaning fee will be billed to your account.

PET POLICY & FEES

Our Cabins and a selection of our Guest Homes are dog-friendly. Dogs are welcome at an additional charge and must be registered at the time of booking your reservation. Please view our complete policy – Mountain Top Pet Policy and Registration. This policy must be acknowledged and registered with the resort before arrival. Any guest bringing a pet into a non-pet-friendly accommodation violates their rental agreement and will be charged a minimum of $250 per night, per pet. Guests may be moved to pet-friendly accommodations if available, and refunds will not be offered in the event of a shortened stay, or if the new accommodations are not comparable to the original reservation. 

Dog Walkers are available with 3 days advance notice, and will exercise your dog at a rate of $20 per walk – cash only.
