Horseback Riding
Mountain Top Resort is the perfect destination for a leisurely horseback riding vacation – or, if you’re just interested in a trail ride, we have those too – no matter the experience level.
Enjoy everything a Vermont vacation has to offer, by immersing yourself in nature as your ride through our trails! Our Equestrian Center is open each summer from Memorial Day weekend through October (weather dependent), and is open to the public! Situated on 700 private acres with access to 40 miles of designated trails, Mountain Top Resort is also surrounded by thousands of acres of National Forest, and also overlooks a pristine lake. You’re sure to see views no matter where you look!
We offer English and Western-style riding, along with overnight boarding if staying on the property. Riding Packages are also offered to make booking your stay more seamless.
Rates (Must be at least 8 years of age):
1 Hour Trail Ride – $45 per person
2 Hour Trail Ride – $100 per person
10 1-hour Trail Ride Card – $350 per person
15 Minutes – Pony Ride – $25 per child
Trail Day Pass – $20 per person (Exclusively for those bringing their horse for the day to ride our trails)
Overnight Boarding – $45 per horse/per night
* Negative Coggins Certificate and Good Health Certificate Within 30 Days Required *
An ASTM-approved helmet is required (& available) and smooth-soled boots with a heel are recommended to ride at the resort. Please Note: For the safety of both horse and rider, we abide by an industry-standard 250-pound rider weight restriction. Horse-to-rider compatibility will depend on the availability of horses on any particular day as well as total tack weight and the riding ability information you supply to us upon registration.
